INTERNET SAFETY Internet safety is not just about you. Being careful online not only protects you, but also those you share information with, like your address or phone number. Providing those to a stranger puts your entire family at risk.
1. Never give out your last or family name, your home address or your phone number in chat rooms, on bulletin boards, in posting pictures and video or when you give your opinion at the Olinkblog. 2. Never tell anyone your password, not even a close friend. If you and that person stop being friends (and we hope you don't :)), they will always have access to your personal information and more. 3. Always look at any sites' privacy policy to see what they do with the information they collect from you- especially your email address and name. See youthoutbreaklive.com's Privacy Policy below.. 4. Surf the Internet with your parents or at least let your parents know what sites you visit so they can check them out and make sure they are safe. If you are under 13 make sure that the site has a COPPA listing somewhere on the site or that you understand what you can and cannot do under COPPA. See youthoubreaklive.com's COPPA below. If a site makes you uncomfortable or asks for something you don't want to share, leave the site.
